Community Services
The Indian Lake Volunteer Ambulance Corps not only provides emergency medical services but also provides the community with training in such things as CPR, First Aid and use of an AED.
As a community service, in 2005 the ILVAC Junior Corps provided local businesses with CPR kits to be posted for public access in the event of an incident of cardiac arrest. Early intervention in such an emergency can make the difference between life and death.
ILVAC holds an annual EMS awareness week with open houses, blood pressure clinics, school demonstrations and much more! We stand by ready with crews at Town functions such as fireworks displays, the Blackfly Challenge bicycle race, Rodney Pelon benefit, etc. We also provide 24 hour crews for the Antique Show weekend and other events and proudly participate in all Town parades.
